Dear Parents / Guardians,

We had a very busy week so far, but luckily it is Friday again. It feels good to know that there are two days of rest waiting… Please take note of the following important matters for this coming week:

HONOURS CEREMONIES:

The school has handed out invitations to children this week. Dress code for the children invited will be the school’s SUMMER UNIFORM and BLACK SCHOOL SHOES. The ceremonies will be held as follows:

  • Gr 4 – Gr 7:   02 November 2026 (Starting at 14:00)
  • Gr 1 – Gr 3:   03 November 2026 (Starting at 14:00)
  • Gr R:     12 November 2026 (Time: 09:00 – 12:00)

Please note that we will be starting our ceremonies promptly at the given times. Please be seated in the hall at least 10 minutes before the starting time. Regrettably, we can only accommodate two adults per invited learner, due to limited space in the hall.

FETCHING OF CHILDREN IN THE AFTERNOONS:
The school rule states that all children remain on the school premises until their transport arrives. We are having huge challenges with transport drivers who instruct the children to wait elsewhere in town to be fetched later.
 
ATHLETICS PRACTISES:

Athletics practises this week will be at the following times:

  • Date: Tuesday 27 October 2026 and Wednesday 28 October 2026
  • Time: 13:40 – 14:30
  • What to bring: Sports clothes, tekkies, water bottle
NETBALL DAY:

A sincere thank you to all the parents and staff who attended our Netball Day and braved the heat in support of our learners. Your enthusiasm and encouragement helped make the day a memorable and successful event. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Ms Ruhling and her team for their excellent planning, organisation, and hard work behind the scenes. To our parents, thank you for your continued support and involvement. Without your assistance, this day would not have been possible. A special word of thanks to the Paardekraal staff for their valuable assistance and dedication in helping to make the day such a great success. Your support is sincerely appreciated. UPCOMING NOVEMBER EXAMS:
  • Please make sure that your child is well prepared for the exams, by having a study plan and / or study roster in place.
  • Unfortunately, no child will be allowed to enter the examination room late. The rest of the children who were on time cannot be inconvenienced by a late comer. Please ensure that your child is at school latest 07:15, as the school day starts at 07:20.
  • Should a child miss out on a paper due to illness, a doctor’s note is required to allow the child to do the test at a later stage.
  • Please make sure that your child eats breakfast before coming to school. No child can concentrate on an empty stomach. A healthy lunch for break time is recommended. Please refrain from sending the child to school with sweets and unhealthy food.
  • The discipline system stays in place during the exam time and learners who transgress and booked for detention, will have to sit the detentions on Fridays.
  • As from Thursday 05 November, the school will close daily at 13:00 for the children. Please make sure that you communicate this time with your transport providers as well, to ensure that your child is fetched from school on time.
  • Good luck to all children with the upcoming exams. Work hard and you will succeed.

OFFICE & CLOTHING STORE HOURS:

    • Monday – Thursday: 07:30 – 14:00
    • Friday: 07:30 – 13:00

No money can be accepted after these specified times, for safety and security reasons. Please remember that there are card facilities available at school. It is a more convenient and a safer way of making payments at school. Please make use of this facility or make payments via the internet or direct bank deposits. The school’s banking details are as follows
